I just found your blog while trying to figure out why a year after planting cuttings of semi-miniature violets, Shy Blue still has not made any babies. The Rob's Wooloomooloo, Ness' Puppy Magic, and Ness' Crinkle Blue that I planted at the same time (and in the same way) are all off to the races, but the Shy Blue just kinda of...sits there. For the last year. Any help would be much appreciated!<br />HeatherAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09287632050369012251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1673125375108101353.post-25862999566263530372012-11-27T11:56:23.325-05:002012-11-27T11:56:23.325-05:00Kathy... I am guessing if you got it in a basket that it's probably not a trailing variety, but a single crown that has developed suckers. You can watch my video on how to remove them here: http://avnerdgirl.blogspot.com/2011/03/multiple-crowns-time-to-separate.htmlm3rma1dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12018793972683935314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1673125375108101353.post-65714773321514821502012-11-27T01:03:47.070-05:002012-11-27T01:03:47.070-05:00Thanks so much for the Blog. I received two violet...Thanks so much for the Blog. I received two violet plants in a basket a year ago and I have managed to keep them alive. YEAH! One is your normal violet and the other violet sprouted three more plants around the edge of the 4 inch pot. I have 3 sisters so I call it my Four Sisters Violet. I checked on the internet and found out that I may have a trailing violet. I have never heard of them. I just love mine and want to have more so I will try your rooting practice. Is it okay to leave these four in the same pot? I love it. I'm scared to death to transfer the plant to a bigger pot. What size pot should I move up to and how shallow or deep should it be? Oh, you are going to be followed very closely by me.
